About Us

COLCH is a community organization founded in 2014 by Latina immigrant mothers to empower families regarding their rights to education and healthcare. After connecting with more than 600 families, the group evolved in the wake of the pandemic, shifting from conducting workshops to developing direct programs for mothers and children. Today, they focus on strengthening family bonds and ensuring access to healthy food by teaching families how to grow and choose fresh, nutritious meals.

Our Values

COLCH was founded in 2014 by Latina immigrant mothers.

To date, COLCH has built networks of more than 600 families by offering culturally inclusive workshops.

We moved from conducting informative workshops to developing our own programs for children and mothers, which allow us to work directly with the community.

At COLCH, we are dedicated to fostering strong family bonds and cultivating positive mindsets that empower children to develop lifelong healthy eating habits.

  1. Community: We work together.
  2. Empowerment: We foster the leadership inherent in each family.
  3. Holistic well-being: We prioritize nutritional, physical, and mental health equally.
  4. Equity: We promote fair access to healthy resources for all.
  5. Respect: We value the diversity and culture of our families.
  6. Solidarity: We actively support the mutual growth of our neighbors.

Our Objective:

To equip families with the tools and support they need to make informed and nourishing decisions together.
